Weather
Temperatures remain gloriously constant throughout the fishing season averaging 75 to 85 during the day, 65 to 70 at night. December and January are the coolest months and by late May we’re beginning to feel the serious heat of summer.
Short-sleeved shirts, shorts and sandals are the dress code around camp. However, evenings can sometimes be surprising cool so bring a light jacket or fleece and some lightweight pants.
The important weather issue for most anglers is sun protection while fishing, and this place is sunny! Your mantra is lightweight, total coverage; i.e. long-sleeved flats shirt, long pants, wading boots, good sun hat, bandana and/or Buff, sun gloves, plenty of sunscreen and lip goo, and a pair of high-quality polarized sunglasses. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip quicker than severe sunburn so plan accordingly. Any don’t forget a light rain jacket for wind and spray protection in the boat, or in the event of a tropical rain squall.
