The Fish : Other Species

As saltwater fly fishing evolves in and around Ascension Bay the number of different species that can be caught on the fly is limited only by the angler's willingness to "make the throw" and see what happens. From sharks to needlefish, jacks to dorado, triggerfish to snappers, if it swims it probably can be targeted by the intrepid fly rodder. After all, small shrimp, crabs, and baitfish make up some part of the diet of just about every predatory fish in the area, and we've got flies galore that imitate such food. Let your guide know that you want to catch more than the traditional flats species and they'll be more than happy to explore the options.
